Within Western Living’s Designers of the Year annual feature the Arthur Erickson Memorial Award was awarded to Winnipeg’s very own 5468796 Architecture

I was assigned to photograph the group with their most famous piece here in town the Cube in Old Market Square. Only two obstacles, the Fringe Festival was in full swing and the city was in the midst of a heat way.  We shot on the little known 2nd level and early in the AM. As it was things were heating up inside the cube and we worked quickly! That day went to 30C easily by noon!

This was also one of those occasions where the brief included the option to shoot in B&W. I leapt at the option, as many know I LOVE B&W.
