This is a 30 second commercial currently on air, for the Province of Manitoba. The creative called for a series of stills rather than video to create the footage. This direction was taken as a way of shooting the spot in an interesting but cost effective way. The client was used to shooting these kinds of spots with a full video production crew numbering upwards of 8-10 people. With my assistant David, there was just two of us!
Using my D3x on continous and strobes firing rapidly we shoot stills to capture the motion. A day of shooting was taken to capture all the footage, then Director Tony Wyntick of Midcan, worked on it in post.
This is a 30 second spot for the Dept of Education, Prov. of Manitoba. It was directed by Tony Wytinck of MidCan productions. I worked the role of DP, shooting stills instead of video to capture the movement of each person. Using my Nikon D3x and strobes.
