Be Ready

When I photography executives in business I try my best to ensure I use their time effectively. That means making some decisions on where we’ll do the shoot, setting it up and only then calling them in, so their time in front of the camera is mercifully short. Usually, that means I rope in the executive assistant to stand in for me. They never like that much! But the worst thing I can do is fiddle with lighting why someone is standing there thinking of all the things they could be doing instead. After we got the first setup I had to swing around the boardroom and set up the next. I usually encourage everyone to go back to their offices or workstations so I can set things up. Once set I call them back and in 5 mins I’m done.
