I love photographing things being made.
I studied Photojournalism in college. But once I realized that being a photojournalist at a newspaper meant not always getting to telling fuller stories, I decided to change my course, 30 years later here we are.
I get to use my inner-photojournalist to tell the stories of business. I love walking into a business that makes something, learn a little about what they are doing and then show the commitment to excellence everyone brings to their tasks.
This was definitely the case when Release Media brought me in to photograph their client, Ali Arc. Ali Arc constructs the large bumpers on the front of semi-trucks. These bumpers have to made to withstand all sorts of conditions and look good at the same time. So it was interesting to document how these are made, watching everyone person’s commitment to quality. I love photographing things being made
